  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • I've always been interested in all kinds of technical stuff - since I was born
    (I was a true screwdriver fanatic) :)

My first touch with computers was 1984 or so .. When I got my first one!

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • Spectravideo SVI-328, Spectravideo MSX-738, Commodore 64, Commodore Amiga 500,
Commodore Amiga 1200, PC 286 clone, PC 386 clone, PC 486 clone, Pentium 150
clone .. I did mostly programming and after I got my first amiga I got into
    making computer music.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Well, I do coding, even more than music :)
Music is a good way to spend your time doing something else than coding ?

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • All sorts of trackers (on amiga & pc), KCS for amiga, cubase / cakewalk for PC,
    nearly anything goes ..

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • .. None of them ?
Most of them are made because I needed just SOMETHING for a demo :)
I like most the 'sumea.mod' if I have to pick one module ...

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For What reason?

  • All except for that Sumea one :)
    All breathtaker mods especially :D

The reason is dead simple : ever tried composing anything without decent
samples in hell-of-a-hurry starting at 02:00 am and ending at 10:00 am
thinking 'uuuh, urge to kill raises, RAISES, RAISES!!' ?

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • I give more value for good music (and gfx) in demo than for the fact that
someone has made a GREAT polygon engine which draws ZILLIONS of polygons
    per frame ..

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Yeah, I've been planning to get into composing more seriously if only I was
able to find some time for it ... I've finally got some decent equipment
and samples to work with, so we'll see if I ever get anything finished !

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • mp3 is a great format, you don't have to suffer too long in downloading and
the quality is good enough .. I'm not really into .mid files because they never
    sound like they should !
IMHO all the .mod formats should be buried and someone should design a brand
new system to use for making music without tons of equipment
    (Buzz is a GREAT start!)

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • On amiga, I've always liked Static's and Groo's tunes (Towards Immortality
was probably the best tune ever made at the time it was released)
Laxity had some neat stuff too ...

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Hmm, not any of my older tunes (they really don't deserve it) ..

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • On the commercial side artists like Björk, Orbital, Future Sound of London ...
I also like Hardfloor, LSG, Aphex Twin etc.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Lots of friends ?
    A reputation as a 'computer freak ?'

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Not too active, although you may see me on #amigascne every now and then..

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Probe (and the rest of VD and FLT members :), Unreal, people at #amigascne ..
