  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?]

  • I got a spectrum when I was really young, possibly 1984 or so. I used to play
Jetset Willy and Manic Minor mostly. I also tried coding from a book once. I
spent hours typing all this code in e.g 10 PRINT "TWOT", 20 GOTO 10 - but they
never worked in the end so that was really annoying.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • After my spectrum I got a C64 for a short time. I used to really like
'Ocean Loader', still do actually. But I swapped that for a skateboard. I
then got heavily into a NES my parents bought me for Christman one year. I
remember listening to the music on Batman and thinking "shish Kebab!"

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Well this is the story.... I used to hang around with a bunch of people in a
band. I use the term 'band' quite loosely as they just basically got Amiga
game/demo music and sung absurd lyrics over the top. I remember hearing
'Mummy I like your Toaster' and being utterly blown away by it (I still am!)
The band in question were known as Arthur Shed and they were great. Anyway,
they eventually started writing their own music using Protracker which I
though was dead clever. I went round to a mates house one night
(Steve/Flapjack Charlie/Jim Bowen) of Voodoo Design & Tesko and he taught me
how to sample 'Rage Against the Machine' and add lyrics about Camels. I was
well happy and proceeded to track stuff nightly. I didn't code or do graphics
    because I just can't.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • I used Protracker on the Amiga. When I got my PC I started off with FT2 and
    now use Renoise.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • Theres a chip tune called 'Frenzy' which I am most proud of. I don't think
it was ever used for anything which is a bit fucked up.

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • I listen back to them all with a tear in my eye and an ache in my thigh.

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Done properly, music/sound is 80% of the experience for me. If you watch demos
like Arte/Enigma/Desert Dream/Fullmoon with volume and then watch them again
in silence, you will see what I mean.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • I do a little here and there. I don't write as many Chip Tunes as I'd like
but I've recently written an album when I was on the dole with is proper songs.
I'm also in band known as Stereovaccine and we play gigs and stuff.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • Mp3 is a good format - my mp3 player has 40 gig memory. Thats a lot of songs
    my friends.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • I presume you mean scene stuff? I like Enigma, Overload by Mtx & Tip. I like
Monkey Island by Chris Huelsbeck and I like mod.steve2 by Jim Bowen/Voodoo
    & Tesko

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Not mods no! You've gotta MOVE ON as 3D demo by Anarchy once said.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • I listen to whatever I like and like whatever I listen to. Radiohead, Mr Bungle,
The Libertines, Stereovaccine.. ohh theres too many man!

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • It gave me a sense of boundary and limit, great friends and the will to be
    creative.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Only on the porn scene.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Snoogans.
