I started with an Alice from Matra, in 1984 as far as I remember. Then I got an Amstrad cpc 6128 and a pc 386. Afterwards I started to be interested in the Amiga and the Atari. I am mostly a gamer :-) on Alice I was creating programs in BASIC in order to have little games I could save on an audio tape. Later with the CPC 6128, Atari STE and Amiga 600 I was mostly playing. With the PC I was mostly working with word processing, accounting sofware (I used to be an accountant). With the second PC (a 486 sx25) I started paiting graphics, doing 3D and soundtrack musics. Because I wasn't competent in any other fields. :) I did code in BASIC and Turbo Pascal but I wasn't googd and franckly I wasn't too interrested either. Mainly with Fasttracker, it was simply and not too bugged. "deadline" and "mambo" I think. But I must admit that I have mainly been composing silly songs that were simply meant to give a good laugh to my friends. They were joke songs that I did for my close friends so people out of that circle could hardly appreciate them. Apart from some tunes I wouldn't like to remember any of the tunes I have composed. I was motivated but I was also seriously lacking artistic feelings. I must confess that I have some difficulties to listen to those tunes again. :) Essential, music gives the pace of a demo. Coding performances aren't of any interest if music doesn't participate in the timing. Cohesion of a demo and its attractiveness is linked to its music. Same goes in demos as in films, for the same reasons. Nope, I have totally stopped composing. It used to be a good way to take part in an community (demomakers). I joined the scene for its friendly and sympathetic atmosphere. I only wanted to participate so when I started to leave the scene I naturaly stopped composing. I am no longer in the scene but I still like almost any of those. I don't have too many things to say on that matter. I have a bad memory with names. I only remember that it is the same as the one Torin of Melon Dezign adores. He happens to be my taste master on that matter. :) None of them. :) The yopla team 100% internet rule That's out of my sight. Not at all. A big hello to all member of silicon that sadly I haven't heard from for ages. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2007 by crown of cryptoburners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
